She continues her involvement with the Olympic movement as a serving member of the Victorian Olympic Club Executive Committee, and worked as a volunteer at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, as well as running with the 2000 Olympic Torch in Frankston.

A classically trained musician, with a strong interest in the Arts, Marg now runs her own special events company, Emjay Projects, who's flagship event, Making The Most of Life, won the Minister for Sport and Recreation Award for the most outstanding event of 2000. She has recently been honoured with MECWA's Remarkable Person Award for her outstanding career and commitment to Older Persons, the Arts and Sport & Recreation.

Marg has also produced several large-scale televised concerts at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl and the Victorian Arts Centre with various television personalities and youth groups to raise money for charities such as The Royal Children's Hospital.

Marg is a member of the Victorian Olympians Club (Executive Committee Member), Athletics International, Australian Red Cross, Sports Medicine Australia and a recent member of The Australiasian Institute of Fundraising. She has received the Emu Award from the Australian Guide Association - National award for outstanding service to Guiding Australia, Long Service Award from Red Cross Australia for outstanding service to Red Cross Victoria and the International Directory of Distinguished Leadership Award from the American Biographical Institute Inc. for outstanding service to youth, sport and recreation.

She was honoured by St Catherines' Girls School in 1995 when they created the Margaret Woodlock Bursary for superlative sporting achievement, in recognition of her contribution and achievement in sport. The inaugural beneficiary of this award was Lauren Hewitt - who would go on to become another Australian Olympian.
